Can ten year old computers with 2G hard drives and Windows 98 still access the Internet?

We have a new computer on the Internet but our connection to Earthlink has filled the hard drives of two old computers, so I had to unplug. It has loaded programs which Internet files on our hard drives and even if I made this feature disabled (accelerator), still has filled our hard drives. We are now switching to DSL. There is a Jola available at an older computers. I don 't know if I can install the software using DSL Jola this one, if it can be installed on an external drive (or if you are to file in the program) or whether there will be other editions. All the council would be appreciated. I don 't have all the web browser on these computers. So I could use a new web browser on these computers?
