How do I transfer files over my home network to different computers?

I have two laptops, two computers and an XBOX 360 fully attached to the router. The 360 and that of desktop computers are set to the router. The two laptops and one desktop computer are connected via radio. I usually open to separate customers of MSN on two different computers that I want to transfer files among them and then transmit that sense but I was wondering if there was really a "proper" way to transfer files on my home network?
